Leading Change for Positive Results

Objectives:

    • Effectively proposing change in the workplace

Change must constantly happen in the workplace – big and small changes. It is how we plan to communicate and implement the change – whether good or bad – that can positively affect the team when making changes in the workplace.

Human Resources Overview for Supervisors – Harassment and Discrimination

Objectives:

    • Detecting, correcting and preventing:
      • Harassment
      • Discrimination
      • Inappropriate behaviors
    • Overview the employment, discrimination and harassment laws
    • Defining different types of harassment
    • Defining different types of discrimination
    • Making good business decisions related to hiring, promoting, selecting and dismissal of employees
    • The investigation process and documentation gathering

This training is a broad overview of harassment and discrimination in the workplace and steps supervisors need to take to detect it, correct it and prevent it. Discussion includes overview of employment laws, workplace bullying, examining retaliation claims as well a prevention in the workplace.

This course will introduce both new and seasoned supervisors and managers to “do’s and don’ts” of human resources that could cost your company time, money and effort if faced with a lawsuit.  

Negotiation

Negotiation Skills – “Powers of Persuasion”

Objectives:
Types of negotiations

    • Stages of negotiations
    • Bargaining techniques
    • Identifying mutual gain
    • Informal negotiations
    • Incorporating effective negotiating into your daily routine

This training provides participates tools to negotiating both large and small issues in the workplace.  It reviews the types of negotiation, stages of negotiation, negotiating fairly for mutual resolution.  We also review when parties do not come to terms when negotiating and how to resolve in the workplace.

Developing Women Managers

Objectives:
Provide tools and instruction necessary for women to develop and become outstanding managers, expecially those in male-dominated industries.  Topics specifically focusing on women include:

    • Leadership for women
    • Communicating with cofidence
    • Conflict management
    • EQ – Emotional Intelligence
    • Ethics and Integrity
    • Negotiating skills
    • Mentoring and coaching for career growth

In the course we discuss many topics from a women’s point of view.  Men and women communicate differently so we discuss the differences and how to manage them.  There are a number of assessments so that participants can learn more about themselves which supports their overall views, cdonfidence and abilities to grow their careers.
